Wholesale Supply celebrates 50 years of family ownershipThe late Rod Bullard Sr. and his wife, Sammie, bought Wholesale Supply Inc.,http://www.wholesale-halloweencostumes.com/ from Paul Campbell in 1967, four years after Campbell had started it.
Their son, Rod Jr.,http://www.swimwear-manufacturers.com/ joined the food service equipment sales, leasing and servicing business three years later after graduating from Longview High School.
The third generation of siblings, http://www.wholesale-swimwear.com/ Chase Bullard and Ashley Green, came on board later at Wholesale Supply, which this year is marking 50 years of family ownership.
The company sells, leases and services ice-making machines and other food service equipment to hotels, restaurants, convenience stores, nursing homes, school districts and county government facilities in its 32-county region. The region stretches from Nacogdoches to Texarkana.
The business, at 2232 S. Green St., has adapted over the years to changing technology and the arrival in recent years of chain restaurants, which often have made other arrangements for buying or leasing equipment.
Through it all, strong family ties and commitment to customer service have been key to keeping the business in the Bullard family, according to Rod Jr. and son Chase.
„We’re very much committed,“ said Chase Bullard, 32. „We’re a family affair. We pretty much depend on each other. My grandpa and my dad did a good job growing the customer base.“
Referring to customer service, Chase Bullard said Wholesale Supply has service representatives who are trained to work on the five brands the company carries.
